I requested a refund — when will I get it?

Refund processing time depends on the platform that handled your purchase. Apple, Google, and Stripe each have their own timelines.

🍎 For Apple App Store refunds

Decision time: Apple typically provides a status update within several days.

Funds returned: After Apple approves the refund, it may take additional time for the funds to return to your payment method — usually a few business days, depending on your bank or card issuer.

⚠️ Apple makes all refund decisions for App Store purchases. ReelMe cannot review, expedite, or override Apple's decisions.

🤖 For Google Play refunds

Decision time: Google typically delivers a decision within 1 to 4 days.

Funds returned: Once approved, funds are returned to your original payment method. Timing depends on your bank.

Check the status of your request at Google Play support.

⚠️ Multiple requests for the same transaction won't expedite the refund. Submit once and wait for Google's response.

🌐 For Web (Stripe) refunds

Decision time: Our team will review your request and process it as soon as possible.

Funds returned: Once approved, the refund will appear on your card statement within approximately 5–10 business days, depending on your bank.

Failed refunds: In rare cases, a refund can fail if your bank or card issuer can't process it (e.g., closed account, expired card). This may take up to 30 days from the date the refund was processed. Funds returned to a closed card are usually held by your issuing bank — you may need to contact your bank to claim them.

General notes

  • ⚠️ Refunds are always returned to the original payment method — they cannot be sent to a different card or account
  • ⚠️ Bank processing times are outside our control (and outside Apple's and Google's control)
  • 📌 If you've waited longer than the timeframes above, check with your bank first, then contact the platform that processed your refund
